Nora Rose Allen is a smart-mouthed, irreverent, bossy, hyper-sensitive writer/gadabout who wants to impress you with her banjo playing skills and knowledge of sharks.
Raised primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area, Nora currently calls Washington D.C. home. She studied Improv and Sketch Comedy in Chicago at the Second City and Improv Olympic (currently iO) and Philosophy at California State University, Sacramento making her the world’s most qualified waitress. While deciding whether or not to apply to law school, Nora spent a few years working as a paralegal for a small family law practice. Though that job renewed her love and appreciation of schadenfreude, it effectively ruined any law school ambitions she might have had.
This summer Nora will begin volunteering with 826DC, a nonprofit tutoring, writing and publishing organization dedicated to helping kids ages six to eighteen with their writing skills. More information about Nora’s favorite organization, including the chapter nearest you and ways you can help, can be found at 826national.org.
Nora is the creator of "My Brain World", a blog of short, odd fiction published on a semi-regular basis or, whenever she feels like it. Nora is also currently working on her first book.
