Carolyn Wyler

Carolyn's Columns

Carolyn WylerAt the age of 26 Carolyn was a single mom of four boys and if that wasn't enough of a challenge, just five years later, she took on five additional stepchildren. She worked full time trying to help support her family and took a class or two in the evenings until she was able to obtain her RN license. She pulled herself out of poverty, having to take government assistance for a couple of years when her kids were young, before she was able to secure her current comfortable lifestyle (though she still doesn't have that house on the beach with a swimming pool, boat with helicopter pad and maid service yet).

Somewhat shy in nature, Carolyn turned to her left side of her brain to express what she can't always vocalize. From art, decorating cakes or writing, she likes to create images, ideas that are not always so black and white as the environment she was raised in, challenging people to look at things from a different perspective. She is attracted to the weird, the crazy, colorful and unusual, which is probably why her number one love and most important thing in her life is her family.
